Ja, mal wieder Zeit . . . .

Hallo treue Leser!
Ich hab mal wieder etwas Zeit, warte grad auf ein Paket was hoffentlich auch noch kommt, damit ich weiter schaffen kann. Mal sehen ob das alles laeuft bis zum Ende der Woche . . . Wenn nicht, waere sehr aergerlich, da ich ja naechste Woche unterwegs bin, nach Las Vegas und Los Angeles!
Leider hat das mit dem Strand nicht so geklappt wie geplant. Aber als "Trost" gings dann ins Spassbad "Rnging Waters" in San Jose und vieeeel rutschen ;-)
Immerhin war das Wetter dann doch besser als befuerchtet nur wenn man oben an ner Rutsche gewartet hat war es doch ziemlich zugig!
Na, jetzt kommt ja morgen schon die Sabine, da bin ich auch mal gespannt und am Freitag gehts los mit nem riesen Umweg richtung Las Vegas.
Gestern Abend war dann die SYMYX WG in San Francisco zum Baseball gucken. War . . . interessant, aber doch ehr traege, zieht sich meist unspaektakulaer ueber ca. 3 Stunden. Aber so war das schon ein tolles Erlebnis! Bilder dazu werden heute online gestellt!

Hello faithful readers! I have time because I have to wait for a package which will hopefully still arrive, to get further on with my work. Let's see whether everything will work until the end of the week… if not, it would be very annoying since I am next week on the way to visit Las Vegas and Los Angeles! Unfortunately my plan to go to the beach at the weekend had not worked but instead we went to the water park " Rnging Waters" in San Jose and slided a lot ; -) Nevertheless the weather was then better than feared beforehand only during waiting at top of a slide it was rather windy! Well, now Sabine will arrive here tomorrow evening already and we will start on Friday to go on tour in direction loosely Las Vegas.
Last night then the SYMYX apartment was in San Francisco to watch baseball. It was . . . interesting but in all slowly-acting, pulls itself usually more unspectakular over approx. 3 hours. But so far it was a nice experience! Pictures of the event will be placed on-line later today! See you next days….

Nearly done! / Wochenende!

Servus zusammen! Ja, endlich ist das Wochenende nahe und ich kann endlich wieder ausschlafen. Die letzten Tage waere ich am liebsten immer liegen geblieben. Naja, muss halt schuften. Ja, was hab ich vor? Zunaechst einmal sind mal alle hier und keiner hat was besonderes vor, mal abwarten. Erstmal werde ich morgen ausschlafen, also laaaaange schlafen. Dann bestimmt mal ein wenig telefonieren, sind ja ein paar Geburtstage zu Hause und der rest ist ein wenig wetterabhaengig. Wir wollten evtl. Badminton spielen gehen einen Tag und einen Tag an den Strand (das hab ich bisher viel zu selten gemacht) wo ich mir extra die Woche ein billiges Strandlaken gekauft habe (Wal Mart: 4$).
Badminton hab ich ja erstmal fuer mich wiederentdeckt, mir nen guten Schlaeger gekauft und der ruft jetzt immer:"Spiel mit mir!"
Mit arbeiten bin ich eigentlich soweit fertig, und dann werde ich wohl gleich nach Hause laufen, muss ja auch ein bisserl fuer den San Francisco Marathon trainieren. Spaeter hatten wir dann eigentlich vor noch in den Jacuzzi zu gehen, dafuer braeucht ich aber evtl. noch neues Bier . . .
In diesem Sinne: Auf ins Wochenende!!! ;-)

Hi everybody! Yes, finally the weekend is close and I can sleep long again. During the last days I would have liked to of remain in bed but unfortunatly I had to work. What will I do at the weekend? First of all everybody stays here at the next days and no one intends to do some special trips. Let's wait and see. I will sleep long tomorrow, very loooooong. Then certainly I am going to have a few phone calls. There are a few birthdays at home and the other things to do are a little weather dependent. We wanted to go playing badminton one day and one day to the beach (which I have done too rarely so far). For this I bought specially a cheap beach sheet (whale Mart: 4$) during the week. Badminton I have rediscovered, bought a good racquet and now it always calls: " Play with me! " With work I am actually finished so far and then I will run probably right home because I have to train a bit for the San Francisco marathon. Later we probably go into the Jacuzzi but I could eventually do with some new beer…. In this sense: Let's start the weekend!!! ; -)

I'm the DSC Man

Ja, da bin ich schon wieder! Und ja, es stimmt wirklich, ich bin immernoch im Geschaeft, wird mein neuer Rekord heute *lol*
Ja, und links sieht man mein Hauptarbeitsgeraet momentan: TA DSC Q200. Damit teste ich . . . ? Richtig! Salze. Und nach doch so einigen Tagen Kampf scheint es momentan auch wieder richtig gut zu funktionieren. Naja, eigentlich hab ich gedacht, doch noch laenger was machen zu muessen hier, aber eigentlich warte ich jetzt nur noch, dass Marie-Charlotte fertig wird. Solange kann ich ja mal ausnahmsweise was ueber meine Arbeit schreiben.

Mein Lieblingssalz: Lithiumkarbonat, weil das ein Antidepressivum ist.
Was ist so toll an Salz: Weil da welche richtig tolle Sachen koennen, wie alles kaputt machen!
Also auch weiterhin, mit allem Forschereifer voran!
Ich haette auch gerne noch ein paar Bilder mehr gesucht, aber das klappt nicht so wie ich will grade. Ich schau mal das ich ein paar neuere von meinen Abenteuern online stelle.

Yes, I am back again already! And, it is really correct, I am still at the company so this will become my new record today *lol* Yes, and on the left you can see my chief work equipment momentarily: TA DSC Q200. Thus test I…? Correctly! Salts. And nevertheless after some days of fight it seems to function again correctly at the moment. Ok, actually I thought, I would have guessed to be busier longer which makes me staying here, but actually I wait now for Marie-Charlotte to finish. So long I can exceptionally write something over my work.
My favourite salt: Lithium carbonat, because that is an antidepressive.
Which is so mad at salt: There are some crazy salts which can do mad things, like break everything!
Thus further on, with all researcher eagerness!
I would have liked a few pictures more added to the post but it does not work as I intended it to work. I look to upload some more pictures of my recent my adventures as soon as possible.

What I do mid of July . . . .

So, mal wieder eine Reise fertig geplant! Dieses mal besuch ich jemanden . . . genau, den Steffen! Viele kennen ihn vielleicht noch aus den alten Worms Zeiten in der Cafete in Stuggi.
Alsoooo, zuerst geht es mit Continental Airlines von SFO nach EWR (Newark bei New York). Das ist ein Nachtflug (nein, kein Nacktflug) von Do (16.7.) auf Fr, wo ich dann am Flughafen den bestellten Mietwagen, einen Dodge Charger (nicht ganz so cool wie auf dem Bild) in Empfang nehme. Und mit dem brause ich dann durch New Jersey (wo man nicht selber sein Auto betanken darf [State Law]) nach Princeton. In Princeton wohnt dann der Steffen, klingt komisch, ist aber so und da gibt es ne alte ehrwuerdige Uni. Die seht ihr dann auf dem 3. Bild. Ich hoffe ich sehe in der Zeit dort mehr als nur Princeton, aber das werden wir sehen.
Am Montag geht es dann morgens wieder zurueck an die Westkueste und dann auch direkt zur Arbeit, aber dann gewinn ich ja wieder 3 Stunden . . . . ich bin mal gespannt!

So, I have planned a journey again! This time I'm going to visit someone…, Steffen! Many perhaps still know him from the old Worms times in the cafeteria in Stuggi. I will fly first with Continental Airlines from SFO to EWR (Newark near NYC). That is a night flight (no, not naked flight) from Thursday (July 16th) to Friday, where I take the ordered rental car, a Dodge Charger (not completely as cool as in the picture) at the airport. And with that I will drive then through new jersey (where you are not allowed to refill your car yourself [State Law]) to Princeton. In Princeton Steffen lives, sounds amusing, but it is as said and there is an old venerable university. That one you can see in the 3rd picture. I hope I see in the time there more than only Princeton, but we will see that. On Monday in the morning I will again go back to the west coast and directly to the work after my arrival, but then profit is again 3 hours…. I am times strained!

Party is over . . . .

In der letzten Zeit war es ja mal wieder ruhig. Das lag daran, dass es in der letzten Woche mal so richtig stressig auf der Arbeit war, naja, jetzt hab ich mal wieder etwas Zeit ;-)
Claire's Geburtstag war sehr lustig, nur kann sich keiner so recht an das Ende erinnern, was daran lag, das Claire selber die Getraenke am Ende gemixed hat, und das war dann einfach ALLES zusammen zu mischen. Alles in allem war es aber ein Erfolg, so richtig mit Geburtstagskuchen, Kerzen und zur Freude der Maedels: Seifenblasen!
Natuerlich ist dazwischen auch noch mehr passiert. Am Wochenende waren die Maedels weg, woraufhin wir (die Maenner) nach SF ins Exploratorium gefahren sind (das Kind im Manne rauslassen: http://www.exploratorium.edu/
Danach ging es dann mal was deutsches Essen: Sauerbraten mit Spaetzle und Rotkohl in der "Suppenkueche" mit deutschem Bier!
Am Sonntag war ich dann zum entspannen mit dem Andi unterwegs. Wir sind zum Strand und ich hab das erste Mal meine Fuesse ins Pacifik-Wasser gesteckt! Das alles koennt ihr dann aber die Tage auch so richtig mit Bildern sehen, werd die sobald es geht hochladen!

So, und jetzt aber wieder arbeiten . . . .
